Privacy policy

Rexume helps you write CVs and cover letters. Your documents hold personal details, so this page says plainly what we collect, what we do with it, who else touches it, and how you get it back or delete it. Questions go to anugrahrezkifauzinasution@gmail.com.

What we collect

  • Your account: your email address, your name if you add one, and a securely hashed password (we never see the password itself). If you sign in with Google or LinkedIn we receive your name and email address from them.
  • Your documents: everything you write or import into a CV or cover letter, and its settings (template, language, layout). Files you import — including a LinkedIn PDF or data export — are read in your browser: we receive their text, never the file, and we never read your LinkedIn profile directly.
  • Usage counts: how many AI actions and translations you've used this month, so we can apply plan limits. We count requests; we don't keep their text.
  • Technical data: IP address and browser details in short-lived server logs, used to keep the service secure and stop abuse.

Cookies and storage in your browser

Cookies keep you signed in and remember the interface language and the light or dark look you chose (one choice for this site and the app). Your browser also stores, for a document you're editing, a copy of changes that haven't reached our servers yet — so nothing you write is lost if your connection drops. There are no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

How we use it

  • To save, show, check and export your documents.
  • To run the ATS check and job match — these are rules and keyword lists, not AI, and they don't send your document anywhere.
  • To send the emails the service needs: confirming your address and resetting a password.
  • To enforce plan limits and protect the service from abuse.

We don't sell your data, and we don't use it for advertising.

AI features

AI only reads a document when you press a Write with AI, review, translate or import button. Then the text needed for that task is sent to our AI provider, Anthropic PBC (United States), which returns the result. Under its commercial terms Anthropic does not use this data to train its models; it may keep it for a limited period for safety and abuse checks before deleting it. When you translate a document, your name, contact details, company and school names are removed before sending and put back afterwards.

We never train on your documents. The setting “Help improve Rexume's AI with my edits” is off by default. If you turn it on, we may review AI suggestions together with how you edited them — without your contact details — to improve our instructions to the AI. Turning it off stops this from then on.

Who processes your data for us

  • Hosting of the app and website (Vercel Inc., servers in Singapore).
  • Database (Neon Inc., servers in Singapore).
  • Email delivery for account emails.
  • Anthropic PBC for the AI features described above (United States).

Each processes your data only to provide its service to us. If you create a share link, anyone who has that link can view that one document — with your contact details hidden unless you choose otherwise — until you turn the link off.

Transfers outside Indonesia

Your data is stored in Singapore and, for AI features, processed in the United States. Under Indonesia's Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 27 of 2022), we transfer personal data abroad only to providers bound by contracts that require protection at least equivalent to that law, and only for the purposes on this page.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and documents until you delete them. Deleting a document removes it straight away. Deleting your account permanently removes your documents, share links and connected sign-ins; copies in encrypted backups are overwritten within 30 days. If you sign up but never confirm your email address, we delete that account after 7 days. Server logs are kept for no more than 30 days.

Your rights

  • See and take your data: Settings → Your data → Download everything gives you every document and your profile.
  • Correct it: edit anything in the editor or in Settings.
  • Delete it: delete any document, or your whole account in Settings.
  • Withdraw consent for optional processing (like AI improvement) at any time, and object to or ask us to limit other processing.

Security

Everything travels over encrypted connections, passwords are hashed, share links are long random addresses, and access to your documents is limited to your account.

Age

Rexume is for people applying for work. You need to be at least 16 to use it.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect.
